A New Chapter: Introducing the Center for Advancing Community

Dear Friends, Partners, and Supporters,

It is with immense gratitude and renewed purpose that I share an important milestone in our organization’s journey. I’m honored to formally introduce you to the Center for Advancing Community (CAC)—a name and identity that reflects the growth, learning, and forward movement of an organization rooted in impact and designed for this moment and beyond.

As the needs of our communities evolve, so too must our approach. The Center for Advancing Community is a natural and necessary evolution, crafted intentionally to meet the complexity and urgency of the present. CAC empowers youth to become catalysts for strong, connected communities through evidence-based programming, intergenerational collaboration, and courageous, constructive dialogue. We envision a future shaped by informed youth leadership and shared responsibility, where every person has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to solutions that strengthen the social fabric.

This transformation reflects our sharpened focus on long-term sustainability, measurable impact, and deep partnerships across sectors. While our name and scope have grown, our core values—authenticity, courage, empathy, personal accountability, and youth leadership—remain at the heart of everything we do. From our robust certification programs to our community-centered workshops and coalition-building efforts, CAC is committed to meeting young people where they are—and equipping them with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to shape where we’re going together.

Over the coming months, we will gradually phase out the Diversity Talks name as we fully integrate and align with the Center for Advancing Community. We do this with respect for the legacy that Diversity Talks created and for the many individuals and partners who brought that work to life. As with any transition, this evolution will take time. We kindly ask for your patience and continued partnership as we move through this process, and invite you to stand with us, support us, and help us grow into this next chapter.
